I've had a ORF M76 kit with a receiver waiting for years to be built up. Finally got it started and now we can see that the lugs are not to spec and will not allow the bolt to lock up. Way off. I think I need a M76 Front receiver chunk and have the incorrect one cut off and the new one welded on.

Any source for one of these or another suggestion?

Thanks

How bout some pics. Kinda sounds like your barrel is pushed in too far.

The problem is that the front end of the receiver is either incorrectly or incompletely machined. Maybe the tool broke and it was missed in QC. I think I need a "metal surgeon with a dremel or mill"

Or a front receiver chunk.

Thanks

Haha yea, incorrectly machined is not out of the question at all. Don't know who did all the drawings for them but all ORF recievers I've seen has been machined wrong. Shoot me a nice pic and I'll compare it to mine. It's a ORF reciever also.
