I just saw some of those on ebay. Are those for the Type III front sight?

This bayonet is for the AK-47, NOT the AKM. As such, the front sight base MUST have the small hooks under the front sight base or this bayonet will not lock onto the rifle.
There are other members who have this bayonet in their inventory as well as many of the Kalashnikov Bayonet Collector's Group members. The picture you posted is of one of the few prototype bayonets that were released before production started.
The difference between a prototype and a production bayonet is that the prototype does not have the metal painted black, but is "in the white", while the production bayonets have the black painted metal pommel and hilt area, along with the normal inspection stamps from Arsenal Bulgaria.
I have yet to obtain one of these since the asking price is what I consider "kind of steep"

Finally got a chance to take some pics of my new bayonet I got from Bulgaria-

I bought it for use on my SAS M-7, it has a Type III FSB, but I found out it has to have a 45 degree gasblock to mount it in addition to the FSB. :evil: :evil: :evil:
