Do you need the bushing too, or is the brake 100% designed to work on a 7.62mm rifle without needing any mods?

If you have the threaded BARREL (14X1 LEFT HAND THREAD) like the AK47, then you need the bushing.

If you have the threaded FRONT SIGHT BASE like the AK74, then you don't.

Make sure you order the one correct for your caliber, also.

Damn thats a lot of $ for one. I remember a site selling these threaded for 14x1 threads for around $10. candyman I think has some for $20.

Global Trades sells one, item #A560. That brake was so wobbly on my rifle that the bullets were hitting the inside of it.

That's one reason I'm willing to spend the $ to get a good one. I think Krebs has a good reputation.

Buyer Beware!

(I'm not sure I know who candyman is; Link?).

IMHO the Krebs does look better, and the $20 brake looks parkerized, not even blued...

However, the Krebs brake is pretty high cost wise.

I do think the krebs one does look nicer but is over priced. I almost think a parked break would match the original 74 finish better than a blued one. Either way they would need to be refinished to completely match.
