Is it the receiver or trunion

Picked up a side folder a while back and picked up a receiver for it recently. The trunion does not appear to match up with tge receiver. See pics. Is the receiver the issue or did i get an oddball trunion?

Well, it really depends on who made what? Receiver? Trunnion?

Note: Its been my finding (even posted here about it) that the so called "Bulgarian Triangle Side Folding Stock Sets" being peddled on many sites, are not in fact of Bulgarian origin at all.
They are as point of fact, unstamped, USA made garbage in 'Bugarian Pattern', none of which is to spec with the real deal, to which I had both in hand, as well as Russian & Taiwanese) for comparison.
"A little Off" is an understatement.

So, it could be either, but reality is, some fitting of any of them, is normally needed.
Yours actually looks alot closer than some I've seen, and a few I've had..

Thanks, morrisey is the receiver manufacturer. The triangle side folder and trunion whonknows. Brought it about 5 years ago
I had to modify my Morrisey side folder receiver ever so slightly and my trunnion ever so slightly to make it fit. Jewelers files are your friend.

More likely a Bulgarian commercial 5.5mm rear trunnion. I hear gunsmiths have to do a lot of work on them (milling I bet) to get them to slide into the receiver.

I'm sure it is a combination of both. I have never had an 80% or 100% receiver to actually match up 100%. Close, but not a not a big deal. File or drill to fit. Of course, if it's to far out of spec I'd reach out to the manufacturer. Good luck with your project.
