Can hi cap mags be imported into the us?

If I go on vacation and pick up a couple of mags, can I ship them to myself... and without getting a "knock on the door at 3.am?

If only a few, you will be fine.. Also, for something trivial like that, if customs doesnt like something, they either just sieze it or return to sender..
