Financial limitations, a change in lifestyle, an overflowing safe, and reality, has come home to roost. I have undertaken a couple expensive projects lately, combined with a marriage on the horizon, and some bills that need to be eliminated, have forced me to come to the conclusion that I need to thin my heard...

I have 2 SLR-105s:

1. Fixed stock, unbanned, w/Plum furniture, and rail.
2. Krebs-converted AKS w/plum PG, wood lam 74 HGs, zig-zag break, no rail.

Seriously considering getting rid of one of them.

I want to keep one, but which style... 1st pic of a 74 that I ever saw was a Plum - immediately facinated. The AKS-105 I had built because it was identical to the one I got to train with/carry around while in the Ukraine in 1999 - nostalgic to my Army days. Always wanted a 74M - I already have the necessary parts to convert the AKS over to a 74M - awesome for the collection (but i already have a 101 & 103 clone - visually speaking, the same gun)...

All opinions humbly and graciously considered...

Help. - TIA

If it were me, I'd get rid of the plum fixed stock rifle and keep the AKS-74.

You can always put plum handguards and pistol grip on it and do a late Afghan/Chechnia I look.

Besides, I think the AKS-74 is more "practical" of the two.

I have to agree with Templar. I would keep the AKS-74, if I had to choose.

Hmmm... I suppose I could put a 74 mag in my SLR-106/AK-101 conversion, if I were REALLY "jonesing" for the 74M look...

Thanks guys - Keep the input coming.
