1916 DWM all matching except mag. holster is dated 1916 and has an officer's name inside that i can't read. it looks much better in person. i got it for a good price and i can actually shoot it and not feel guilty.

+ 100

Glad to see you followed up on it since you posted the original thread.
Try to find some European ammo for it that's kind of hot like Fiocchi.
Reason being you need pretty stout ammo to fully cycle the toggle action.
At least that's how it is with my friends Luger.
They are pretty cool.

No prob! Great find & big Congrats!
i just found a piece of paper in the bottom of the holster but i can't get it out. i think it was put there to stop the barrel from hitting the bottom. i've always wanted a luger and it's the perfect addition to my collection.
that's a beauty, always wanted one, my uncle had one that was a WWII bring back stored at my grandparents house. they both died while I was in RVN and it was the only thing of theirs/his I wanted. needless to say my junkie cousin pawned it in 1969..... big sigh....
Looks ugly and over priced
Nicce  I would love a shooter Luger, the last one I got was problematic.
Great score! A Luger is still on my "to get" list.
These threads always make me sad. My Grandfather's came up missing when he died. At least I got his box of ammo, gun oil, and capture papers.

I got a lot of things that have more sentimental value than that Luger though. I'd still like to pick one up someday.
Very nice looking piece, I really dig its character!
i dont mean to pry but how much did ya get it for?
Very nice. They are very beautiful guns, no matter what some a-hole who works in a gun shop says. Here is mine. 1939 all matching no import marks..
