I finished my screenplay (it's a crime/drama) and registered it... now's the fun part, trying to sell it  . Query's are going out and a friend in the industry is going to read it/see if he can help me out. It's a shot in the dark, but fuck it...

EDIT: TYPO :goof:

mabye, but i do like reading screenplays :D
Thanks, guys, I appreciate it.

I'm really determined to make a million before I'm thirty... whether it happens or not... :goof: we'll see, but let's just say I'm not holding my breath.
Break a leg!
(I'd like to read it as well!)
Pitch it to Lit Agents first ! not production contacts or readers or anyone who can steal it. (Or parts of it) Trust me I made Elevator Pitches in Century City & Beverly Hills and 3-5 years later saw my concepts or parts of them in Major Motion Pictures or television ...

That fuckin' sucks, man. Did you have your material registered?

I sent out query letters to a number of agents last week. I got back one response already (form letter ). As I understand, that's pretty common. From the WG list, it looks like most agents won't even consider taking on any unknown writers. Is it worth sending out query letters to them anyway?

That friend of mine in the industry... I'm hoping he can refer me to an agent that will work with me. From what I understand, that's the best route. My friend is out of the country with a project for at least another month, so I figure I'll go ahead and send out some more query letters while I wait. If my friend can refer me and everything works out, I plan on giving him a percentage.

I personally believe that my script is great. It's not an over the top POS thing, it's thoroughly authentic and accurate. I just need the right agent to like it, and get it sold... talk about a shot in the dark.

JinxxxOnU, starduks, sorry guys, can't do it. Even though it's registered, I still gotta keep it under wraps (for now).

That's awesome, good luck, man! I do a bit of writing as well, and it can be alot of fun.

One major question that hasnt been asked yet, though..are there any AKs in it!?!? :goof:
If your screenplay features rubber nipples, apparently "Batman:The Dark Knight Returns" has you beat.

Don't try to argue with the fans, they have no sense of humor about the nipples!

Nope, no AK's, sorry. Long story short, I tried to stay within certain lines. The list of firearms is actually rather short, and to the average person, unpredictable in a realistic way. I wish I could list them, but I can't at this time... I can say that it's good stuff - and fuckin' funny, too!

No rubber nipples or any such related pieces of, ummmm, wearables :goof:

That said, if people find rubber nipples offensive, I don't think they'll like my screenplay :goof:
Best of luck to you bro!
