I sent out query letters to a number of agents last week. I got back one response already (form letter :neutral. As I understand, that's pretty common. From the WG list, it looks like most agents won't even consider taking on any unknown writers. Is it worth sending out query letters to them anyway?

That friend of mine in the industry... I'm hoping he can refer me to an agent that will work with me. From what I understand, that's the best route. My friend is out of the country with a project for at least another month, so I figure I'll go ahead and send out some more query letters while I wait. If my friend can refer me and everything works out, I plan on giving him a percentage.

I personally believe that my script is great. It's not an over the top POS thing, it's thoroughly authentic and accurate. I just need the right agent to like it, and get it sold... talk about a shot in the dark.
