It's as simple as that. I've got 2 Chinese 75rnd drums, one lightly used and the other still sealed in the package. I've also got a Romanian 75rnd drum that I snagged at a gun show for $50 out the door. I plan on trying to get some more Chinese 75rnders or maybe some of the new Bulgarian 75rnders. I would like to have about 10 or so just for the hell of it. I like the backloaders because I don't have to wear myself loading it.

None, why no "0" option for poll.

Heavy, noisy, only really good for ambush and defensive operations in FA AKs.

For the cost I can buy more capacity in 20 & 30 round mags, or more ammo.

Maybe I am just too practical.

Drums are fun, I have 7... three Chinese (x2 75 one 100), three VPMZ, & one Romanian. The original RPK type drums looks better to me, but the Chinese drums are a lot easier to load.

I don't own any. To me seems very heavy and akward for movement. From pics of current situation around the world involving Guerrilla warfare seems more paractical to use stick mags. This is my 0.2 cents.. I do understand that the DRUM does have it's place in warfare though...

Zero. They look cool, but are not practical.

one chinese 75, makes for fun pictures of my m92.

might take it to the range once or twice, but it'll probably not see much use.

more of an investment thing than anything else.

Have 6.
Chinese 75rd & 100rd.
(4) Romanian 75rd.

I can see the impracticality in a semi (good for photos though).
I'm fortunate to have a class-3 Chinese AKS from the early eighties when that stuff was affordable compared to today, and it is a BLAST (no pun intended) to run the drum occasionally.

Amen brotha, I'm really trying to convince myself to buy a Class 3 AK just so I can run these drums for some real fun. I guess if I have the money put back and just see one that I haaaave to have. Just not sure what to do with that...that'll be a late purchase for sure.

2X Norinco "36" marked 75 rd. ones in pouches.

I'd love to find a 100 rd. "36" I can afford to round it out.

BTW, would a Chinese drum (120rd, I think) for an M16 count?

Yea, that'll count. Never stated if they're just for an AK.

Sometimes practicality goes out the window, that's when you arm yourself to the teeth with AK drums
