We are allowed to buy and own anything that pre dates the 1994 Clinton ban. That includes 20 round, 30 round mags, aks, ARs etc. As far as modern stuff we are allowed anything that has been in our state 2016 or earlier. The 56s-1 was imported before 1994 which is desirable for me for a few reasons. One I want an AK variant. Two it has value nation wide and I’m not paying an inflated price for something that was in the state 2016 that is cheaper everywhere else. Plus I want the under fold version because…it’s frickin cool AF.

Welcome to the group!

Glad to hear that you found a 56S-1. The Chinese made some of the best AK variants imported into the land of shall not be infringed. Their triggers had arguably the best feel of any factory AK import.
