Do any of you guys that use GI ammo cans add any type of dessicant to the can? How about the gaskets, do you put any oil or anything on them to keep them from drying out? Thanks.

Use silicone gasket lube from the auto parts store on the seal. If you have something that needs a dessicant, by all means put some in.

I don't use dessicant bag or do anything to the gasket. if your gasket is good, no gouges, torn or dry rotten, you don't need all that other stuff.

I got some silica from the hobby store,where they keep the dried plant stuff.
put about two tablespoons in a coffee filter and rubberband it closed.
cheap and works.
