Damnit you make me jealous!

Is there anry way you can take some close up pics of the converted M14 magazine?

There's a lot of interest in converting these for the SAIGA and possibly VEPR rifles down here.

Great collection, as always!

Sorry about the big bump, but you know how forums get when you start a new thread when the same topic already exists...

Anyway, here's my .308 Galil:

I have 2 of the 25-round mags, one of the 10-rounders, and one of the 4-rounders, which I understand was only issued originally with the Galatz. It's a lot of fun. I like it way better than any of my other rifles.

Gosh, I hope the restrictor pop rivet doesn't fall out of the magazine.

For the children...

That is my dream Galil collection.

I have seen a few 7.62 x 39 Galils.

That is the very first 5.45 x 39 Galil that I have ever seen.

Sweet, indeed!

They are all (except the .308) made up using .223 IMI receivers. The 7.62x39 one uses an AK bolt and modified barrel. Other than that and some minor mag well work is all that was needed.

25 round .308 mags are getting ridiculously priced.

Gunbroker and Sturm is where I would look, but as I say, the prices are generally obscene.

Have you considered buying several of the 12 round mags to use while you shop for the 25 round mags?

The 12 round mags are fairly cheap right now, but, they won't be forever.

I bought the 25 rounders when CDNN and others had them for not too much (less than the .223 ones). The problem then was that the .223 ones I bought at the same time cost way more than they do now. Ken
