I found one with a Romy folder barely used. I work next to a gun store :grin: I put it on lay-a-way. It has Bubba Ace? handguards.
They will be replaced. They want $435. It's a 2003. Ban features,no scratches. Very clean weapon.

Ok! so it's done! I picked it up last thursday, looking all Bubba:

I then proceded to clean and restore it's Romanian looks:

my sar1 was my 2nd ak....mines a 99 thats got about 200 thru the pipe....i just added a vert grip to the front...dying to take it out next weekend

My Romanian is a 2003 SAR-1. Great rifle. Nothing canted and the bayonet lug works fine. A few FTFs - usually on the initial round of the first mag. After that, no problems.
