Evening all,
New member here seeking knowledgeable feedback on variations in circle 10 stampings on some 7.62 waffle mags...

Last week I purchased some bulgarian polymer waffle mags from a private seller (10 mags for $200). Upon inspection they have all the standard steel reinforced parts, and not having any signs of wear appear to be brand new.

Problem is, even though the stamps are on the correct side they're all different. Some are upside down, others appear to have more raised circles around the 10. All the mags have more of a matte black appearance as opposed to the shiny finish of other circle 10 mags I've previously purchased from places like Midway and kvar. In addition, a few of the mags have a number "2" or number "1" stamped on the right side.

My inquiry is this: are these elaborate knock off's or just maybe a bottom barrel batch of legit mags?

(As soon as I figure out how, I'll post some pics)

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I doubt they are fake, I have one or two with upside down and sideways circle ten stamps that did come from K-var. I would imagine that the stamp part of the dies might be moveable or different dies entirely are used durring the course of normal production. The black circle ten mags are military mags and it would not matter to anyone in that realm that the stamps werent right side up so it would not be an issue or indicate a lower grade mag. Ten circle tens for $200 is an excellent deal, $20 apiece beats the usual prices for those these days, so that itself might make one think something was not right but I think you did well.
