Neat, never seen that. Do you know what country made the drum?
They were shipped from Sportsmansguide and were "mixed" surplus.
The ones with the "anti-rattle" parts were painted black and well worn but I do not see any proofs or other marks on them........

That's pretty slick. I'd thought of cutting circles of corrugated cardboard as a rattle deadener.
This is ok if your not firing much. No experience with RPD but I've filled MK19 40mm cans with 200+ rds of .50 cal and used cardboard for anti rattle. The cardboard gets tore up rather quickly, especially if there's moisture in the air.

The 105rd cans of .50 for our M2 HBs came from the factory with cardboard inside of them - I was thinking just for storage and transport (ie; 'remove cardboard before firefight')
