Whats your question? I've never had a problem getting them on the phone but I hear that people have. Theres alot of info on here about them if you do a search. Search for AUSA or Armory USA. Thats what they used to be called.

I have used them a few times. I used their 1.6 receivers and had good luck with them. I really like that they are close to me so I dont have to pay a transfer fee!!!
I Need a 1.6mm receiver set up for a bulgy side folder.
I want to know if the hole in the bottom front of the receiver for the side folder clip axis pin is pre-drilled?

I have sent a few unanswered emails. and talked to a lady on the phone but she wasn't able to answer my question.

If I could just see a picture of the flat it would answer all my questions!

i will try searching under those names.
I have built on that exact receiver. That hole was not drilled. They dont drill the front trunnion holes on the Bulgy receiver either. They will drill the front trunnion holes and the front latch hole if you ask. Its costs a little extra. You need to ask for T.R. or even better ask for Hector.

You know if you use their 1.6 receiver you have extra mill work right? The I.D. of the receiver shrinks so you have to mill 23 thousands off each side of your trunnions and also 23 from the top of the mag catch so your rifle will feed right. You also have to take some material off your lower hand guard so it will fit inside the receiver.

You end up with a very solid rifle but it is extra work.
Everything Forward of the receiver is being built of new chinese parts.

As far as I can tell the only thing that will need to be milled is the rear bulgy trunnion.

also 23 from the top of the mag catch so your rifle will feed right
If I'm using Chinese parts do I still need to do that?

On the receiver you used was the slot for the latch already cut into the receiver?
The slot was cut out.

You should still need to mill your front trunnion sides unless thay are already setup for a thick receiver. I dont know if that was ever done. I dont think so, except for Yugo stuff.

You do have to mill the top of your mag catch....or you could mill the bottom of your receiver where the mag catch/selector stop goes. If you dont the mag wont get far enough up into the receiver and the bolt wont catch the round at the end, but instead will catch the round up about half way and jam every time. Guess how I know this. Then you get to take your trigger guard back off and mill the piece and re-rivet it. More practice....right?
ERTD receivers are Excellent built like tanks. I have some Type 2 (1.6 mm) here in the shop we use them for MAK 90 builds. I know a few guys that have built other stuff on them and did mill their trunnions. You won't have to mill the front if it is Chinese but the bulgy rear trunnion you will. According to ERTD the Bulgy SF receiver is cut and drilled for the side folder rear trunnion but not drilled for the front. HTH, Artty

Chinese AK's are built with 1.6mm receivers.

Can someone confirm that this business with the mag catch will not need to be done with a chinese trunnion. The above post says the sides dont have to be milled but doesb't talk about the mag catch. I believe it doesn't need anything done with it But I want to be sure.

If the selector stop was made for a 1.6 receiver then I would say you wouldnt have too. Its not that much work to do if your setup with a mill. Maybe try bolting the trigger guard in and see if it feeds right. Then rivet when your sure its ok. The Bulgy 1.6 and the Polish 1.6 I built both had to have the selector stop milled.
Using a chinese selector stop as well so I think im good. Good point on bolting it before I rivet. I will do that.
Ak-Builder has a plate and screws to do just that job. Its on the main page...$4 While your there order your rivets. His stuff is the best.
