Drum Magazines

I have two drum magazines and I just want to know what I have and what they are worth. I sold off all my AK rifles a while ago, but haven't gotten around to unloading all my mags yet.

I acquired both these mags over a decade ago, so I have no memory of where I got them nor can I find old receipts. I am pretty sure the top leader is a Romanian.

The back loader looks like the CIA/Romanian drums I see everywhere, but the circle 10 marking is unique to anything else I see online. I have heard a rumor that 5,000 Chinese drums were marked with the circle 10 in order to pass them off as bulgarian mags for importation purposes, and sold through ATI. Any truth to that?

I also have a bunch of regular Bulgarian mags (most still new), some 20rnd tanker mags, a 40 rounder, and a polymer mag. I also have three bakelite mags (not pictured), but I think I'm keeping those just for the novelty of owning them. Any advice on the value of my other mags is welcome.

Check the proof marks on the top drum. While it 'probably' is Romanian, some Russian ones were accidentally imported with them. If it is Russian, it will bring more. The second is Romanian that was 'supposedly' made on Chinese tooling. Is MUCH better than the S. Korean copies.

Also check the proof marks on the 40 rounder. Some of them imported about that time are also Russian and bring more.

First thing you need to do is go into the Magazine section to the stickies and find out exactly who did make the mags per the proof marks.

You are correct about the circle 10 drums there’s an American and a British man doing some time in the federal pen. There were 5760 total with some being confiscated. I’m interested in whatever you are thinking about selling. Bucksohio@gmail.com

What state are you in? I would be interested in whatever you may part with.
