I've been trying to find a type one to mount not much info available and would one mount on the rifle

IIRC, The answer would be no. There is no lug on the barrel to attached a bayonet.

It will take a Type 1 Legend bayonet.

Yes, the Type 1 Legend style bayo locks onto the front sight base.
