Over on gunboards.com someone posted they bought FIVE cases and that you get 20% off shipping if you buy 5 or more cases.

At that time he said Dan mentioned at the rate it is selling he had enough left for next 2 days so....

Thanks cruzie...I made that last year after a friend posted his pic of Sanford & Son in which I couldn't breath for a few minutes after seeing it

One of my K98's is going up on the EE this weekend to fund a few cases.
how many K98s you have and info on the one your selling? :goof:
I have 2. One is a RC and the other is the Yugo Capture, I'm gonna sell the RC after I get better pics of it this weekend.
why would you SELL the RC and keep the Yugo capture?!?! that baffles me?
The RC will be worth more, thus it will give me more to spend on this PSL coming in. I need some more 7.62x54r and a scope for it. The Yugo is a range gun, shoots perfectly. I'll pic up another RC in the near future, but I would really like to get my PSL accessories and ammo.

Damn it, I had to bite the bullet and ordered a case. Anybody need some polish, chzec, or albanian 54r. I think I'm begining to get too much. But I did just talk with someone that knows a little and you might want to get this now. They said that one person bought it all and what Dan has is what wouldn't fit in the truck so he's running low quick. Also it will probably be sold for alot more from the next guy so don't wait to get it cheaper. If you think I shouldn't have said any of that Dan let me know and I'll delete it, I just don't want to see yall miss out thinking it will be cheaper or waiting. Thanks for the ammo Dan. Welcome aboard.

Street it's pretty much common knowledge who that "other" person is so I doubt very much your letting the cat out of the bag so no worries.

Reason I purchased 1760 rounds from Dan and not the "other" person.

Oh, and theres no such thing as having "too much" 54R

Well he's probably hoping someone doesn't know about the stuff at dans selling for 150 a case. He's trying to sell it while he can. No more is coming in to my knowledge. I say where lucky that we got this. It may not be match ammo but its basically the best we have right now. Especially for PSL owners, since they cant really take the abuse of the higher grain stuff.

NOT MATCH AMMO???

This stuff is match grade in every sense of the term... maybe it has seen more human shooting than match shooting, but it is HIGHLY accurate as well as having better penetration qualities than standard ball.

I wish I could have bought two cases...

Hey, if someone bought a TON of it, and plans to open a tin, would they be willing to sell a few individual bundles without jacking the price up insanely high? I want to shoot it but the collector value is a kick in the crotch...

Same stuff. Its going to hurt like hell to shoot it but, I think will have to open at least a tin.

ETA: Didn't see your post qgunner. Everything I've seen says its not match. Close and the best we have but not the same. It's more consistent and held to tighter tolerences but its still military surplus that is made in mass.

So is Lake City 173gr. M-118 special ball.

Ask me what I use at Camp Perry for 200 and 300 yard shooting in the National matches...

Your right qgunner like always :hail: . Thats why it was replaced by the 7n14. I'm not arguing the fact that it is not good but its not full match grade, its 50's technololgy that has been replaced with better ammunition. I did buy some because it is good. I'm seriously done talking about this know. Because I've seen your post before and you always seem to know more than the next person and this could go on for months. Think what you want and I'll think what I want but I am done.

I am giving you the facts. This load was specialy developed for the SVD rifle, for higher accuracy than standard Russian ammo.

So was 173gr. Lake City for M-14s at Camp Perry.

What did the marines and what does almost every M-14/M-1A shooter use at 600 yards? Federal custom loaded 168gr. HP-BT.

Let's settle this the good way. How many times have you been sponsored by a state association to go to Perry and shoot in the National matches? Did you go on Vic's site and read the development information on the 7N1? I can see not. And on the former, I bet not many...

7N14 is more accurate. And Federal 168 HP-BT is more accurate than 173gr. M-118. But M-118 is still match, glorified as match, and shot as match. It is made by the US main ammunition plant and was made for the military. It is the same load many if not most of our marksmen in Iraq with M-14s are using. It is mass produced govornment surplus. That does not mean it isn't match.

You are too narrow minded. Make sarcastic comments if you want but I have been wrong and I fessed up when I was. See the WASR thread? Fury_58 was right and I was tricked by Century, and I admitted it. Wrong once or twice doesn't mean wrong every time.
