howdy

from Alaska eh?

131 and 31 are common factory numbers . what are the 2 digit dates ?

there are no hard/fast rules as to what is corrosive/non corrosive but it can be determined GENERALLY with more info like the date(s) and sealer color , if any and any other obvious descriptions .

the boxes are meaningless , most of the time , as to whats inside them .

i'll give you the basic 762x39 ammo site but you have to come back and tell us about what you got . OK ?

This stuff has the 31 Headstamp dated 68 and 77, it is the steel core. I can't find the info as to corrosive or otherwise. Thanks for the link it is very helpful.

with dates in the 60s and 70s it is steelcore milsurp and corrosive primed .

ive chroned almost every year fact.31 from 70 to 94 and it was all premium stuff threw 92 . some 93 and 94 date ammo isnt quite as match grade fine but is still very good ammo .

a lot of how well this stuff has held up over the years depends on how its been stored . wide storage temp variations will use up the powder stabilizers quicky .
