compliance issue?

Just a quick question - did some searching and I think I'm ok but need some verification...

I have a current WASR-10, high cap, with tack welded muzzle nut. If I replace black US grip with a Romanian one and add a Tapco magazine follower am I still compliant - 5 pieces?

Thanks for any help you can provide

so I will have to replace all of the followers in my magazines to be legal?
Every AK mag you ever plan to insert into that rifle.
i am not picking on you, whatsoever... but, its sad that we have these kinds of questions due to poorly made up laws. i will withhold my views from the board, but they don't coincide with those stated here.

you might try replacing the gas piston to stay compliant, and have the romy grip.

Count the number of imported parts from the list below that are part of the rifle. Make sure the imported parts count is no more than ten. There is no federal regulation that includes a requirement for a certain number of U.S. made parts. U.S. made parts are included in a rifle to reduce the number of countable imported parts.

1. receiver
2. barrel
3. muzzle attachment
4. gas piston
5. front trunion (for stamped receiver rifles)
6. bolt carrier
7. bolt
8. hammer
9. disconnector
10. trigger
11. pistol grip
12. buttstock
13. handguard set
14. magazine body
15. magazine follower
16. magazine floorplate.

Here is a link to a place that is kinda cool for compliance "figureing"..

I wouldn't use followers, I'd use a floor plate..

actually, i'd just leave the black grip on it if you're worried about compliance..
dpharms has followers - who sells floor plates?
Here's a neat way of making them!
