Colt Trooper MKIII .357 - Anyone know these inside and out?

My dad called and said his baby is broke. He loves his .357. Probably the only think that man has hung onto in his 57 years. He's been through a few divorces

Anyway, seems the double action to hold the hammer back doesn't work anymore. Is this an easy fix? or take it to a gunsmith? If this is an easy fix give me some insight on tearing this thing down/schematic. I assume brownells would be the best bet for the part. Especially since I get my C&R discount from them.

adjust that little allen screw on the underside of the trigger (if it hasn't fallen out ). I'm 90% sure thats the problem. when its set correctly blue lock tight it in place..I doubt any parts are broken. but if they are send me an e mail and I will fix ya up.
That should do it.
Man, I love my 6" nickel Mk III ! It was my first real handgun and it would bum me out to not be able to shoot it. Good luck.

whew...that's a tiny little allen wrench slot. I think I'll have to stop at the hardware store.
I owned one years ago, my first 357, I wanted a Python but didn't have the required $400...settled for the MarkIII. It was a decent enough pistol and was quite accurate with +P 38special. I got into shooting hotter 357 stuff and one day it ceased to function either single or double action, it would cycle but not hold in single or allow the trigger to engage on double. As it turned out the trigger mechanism had broken and required gunsmith talents better than mine, I hope this is not your case.
