Pulled out this old still in the original plastic bag drum tonight, cause I was looking to see if I had anything interesting that I didn't know of in this old ammo can. Found a triangle 36 drum, this, and the drum in the post below this one. Does the 9396 stamp mean anything to anyone? The drum is very nicely blued, has a slotted key handle, and a direction to wind arrow. I've had it for around 17 years and just opened the bag tonight.

9396 is just the Arsenal Factory number that made it. The Chinese literally at one time had hundreds of "Arsenals" build a myriad of various small arms and accessories. These arsenals varied from extensive industrial complexes to sometimes the size of a automotive garage.

in the 17 years you had the thing stored NIW, your drum increased in value about 500%

in the 5 seconds it took you to cut and take it out of its unopened original plastic, you decreased its value 15% :goof:
