Those do not look like rivets it looks like a "rosette" weld up build....probably work if it is not to brittle from the weldup...looks like ass..aside from looks the issue would be welded area being brittle and cracking with usage....may last a heck of a long time in a semi gun however.

WTF. Who bought that? I mean someone had to take possession of that rifle! How is Hesse still in business?

That's been on GB for a looooong time (wonder why!). They are pretty horrible rivets though, the only thing about that gun is its original barrel, scrap the receiver and still have a good parts kit.
It is mismatched., the welds may have penetrated the trunnions deep enough to be an issue. Not really a good parts kit IMHO.

The mag well rivets are welded in as well. I used to buy parts of Hesse's table year's ago, seen rows of those POS.

There are still some spooky builds going on. But the current cost of kits, barrels and other parts has slowed down the really bad "bubba" builds a lot. FUBAR'ing a $300-$500 kit is less common.
The Hesse stuff and some others were part of the early days of AK assembly., er..., hammering together by any means.

Bought a Hesse .233 receiver years ago and decided it was not safe to build with. Just cut it into pieces.

Looks like someone plug welded the front trunnion to avoid having to press out the barrel for a proper demil/re-rivit. At least the seller posted full-disclosure pictures for the knowledgeable buyer. But his description to noobs is :bullshit: and he knows it. And a no return policy. Imagine that.
