hello,
I just purchased a new Century Arms C39v2

unfortunately, it does not have a side rail mount .

Is this because I got a cheaper version of the C39v2 ?

What are my options ? I saw a youtube video (
) but this looks beyond my skill level.
Thanks,Peter

This isn’t the first thread I’ve seen about a c39 without a side rail. Not sure why Century builds some without the side rail but sounds like their side rail is proprietary anyways so that’s useless.

Besides paying a gunsmith to install one, you can look at other options like a railed gas tube like an Ultimak to mount a red dot or a TWS dog leg over the dust cover. I think someone also makes a mount for a micro red dot that replaces the rear notch sight.

i have a Draco pistol and an AK63DS underfolder that don’t have side rails. I just replaced the upper hanguards with railed handguards and mounted TRs-25 red dots. One is from CAA, the other is Hogue, they both work. That’s a cheap option.

Thanks for the replies.
I found out from Century Arms support that my rifle is : "earlier versions of the C39V2 before be added the side rail."
The dealer at the gun store recommended a UltiMAK Forward Optic Mount <-- how hard is that to install ?
