Super-Fantasitc-China-Emporeum (wal-mart) used to be the best price, but I haven't checked thier prices lately.

another +1 for walmarts 550 round boxes and stacking up that way.

another +1 for the wm federal 550rd boxes,I've been having the wife get me a box every time she goes :lol:

None of the Manassas area Walmarts sell guns anymore, but they do have those Federal value packs.

JUst got some on Friday. Good deal.

The Federal 510 is $12.87 per 500 round brick at Wal-Mart....Much, much more consistant, and accurate ammo that often gets overlooked.

Not knocking anyone who likes bulk, but for a little more than a buck per brick you can do much better than the Wal-Mart 550 round Value - Paks.

The Federal 510... does this come in a 510 rnd brick or do you buy individual boxes of 50? I only remember seeing them sell Federal 550 rnd bricks, Remington 550's and Wild Cat bricks. What does the 510 box look like?

I have been shooting the Federal from Wal too. About $12 out the door is hard to beat. My machinist just gave me 70 cartons of 500 rounds each for a 1hr side job. :twisted:
The price was only $6 a carton so they are a bit aged but the brass is clean and goes bang consistently. :dance:

i get the stuff at walmart cant beat the price. its not match ammo or anything but it makes a good all around plinking, hunting round.

walmart. i bought a case last time i was there. they had about 6 cases of the stuff under the counter, in the open.

The Federal 510's come in a light blue box ...The box says Federal Champion, but also has a small #510 down at the lower right hand corner of the box.

You can either buy boxes of 50, or bricks of 500....Usually Wal-Mart will have a dozen individual boxes of the 510 in the display counter, with maybe a complete brick or two displayed also, but there is generally much more back in the stock room.

The Federal 510's are not copper washed, and they are 40 grain solid points...Very consistent and accurate ammunition, which are two great attributes that the Federal 36 grain HP 550 round Value-Packs are weak on.

Much better performance for just a little more money, and the best deal currently in cheap .22LR that actually performs well IMHO.

Thanks for the 510 description huntingwildman. I would like to pick some up next time I can.

Everytime I go to Wal-mart I snatch up a 10 pack each time I'm there. This ammo is really good to shoot.

Yup Wal-Mart is the place to go. Although the last time I got the 550 rd box, it was 8 bucks not 12 bucks. Not that I'm complaining. :razz:

thanks for the heads up,have to try a brick or 2 and maybe diversify my stash :smile:
