Is there any differences between the two?...I'm not seeing them if there is...

The Bulgarian and late Russian ones are the same, they will work in all Makarovs. The early Russians had a hump on the bottom, where there is a slot on the later ones.

On the Gunboards forum under the Makarov forum there is a picture showing the differences on the 8 round mags.

I have bulgy e.german,and russian.
they all work in my east german,russian mil. and bulgy makarovs.

The ones with the hump are the East German mags, Russian and Bulgarian are identical.

On Makarov.com it states the early Russian Mak mags had a hump on the bottom, the E. Germans, and the Chinese also had the hump on the bottom.
