bulgy makarov

i just picked up a bulgy about 4 months ago to use as a host for a bulgy .22 kit. paid $125 for it used.

never noticed the mags until you said something. i don't know if it was a good deal or not . it's like spanking new, no scrathes just a little holster ware around the muzzle. had to disassemble and wipe the cosmoline out. $300 to much ?, i don't know and really didn't care, but it almost looks brand new.

as long as you're happy with that nice little guy, who gives a damn?

Normal price nowadays I think. Seen them sell for that recently, must be what they're worth now. Make sure you clean out all the cosmo from the firing pin channel. You want to hear the firing pin rattle when you shake the slide.

I have a bulgy I picked up off of ar15.com from a local guy, it was pretty much new in box still packed in cosmo.
They are good shooters, I had to do some smoothing out of the trigger pivot point to get rid of the gritty feeling with some 1000 grit sand paper but other than that I love the pistol.

Check out K-var they have some bulgy mags in stock right now, I have been trying to talk my self into some of them.

I LOVE my Bulgy. My favorite handgun hands down. I just put a new 15# recoil spring in it and it's even better.

The perfect carry gun IMO.

I wouldn't say perfect, but I do carry mine quite a bit since I don't mind if it gets wet, sweaty, salty, etc.

The guy I got my bulgy from also had an EG Mak, he was asking 300 and I don't think it sold.
I paid 200 for my bulgy, and he gave me two mags with it. :smile:

I've seen eg'S GOING FOR THAT MUCH OR EVEN A LITTLE MORE. i GOT LUCKY WITH MINE AND GOT IT ON A TRADE FROM A FRIEND.

Which one is the DDR mag and which is the Bulgy? I just picked one up in decent condition for $230 (after waiting for a month) and it came with one mag, it looks like the one on the right in the pic.

It could also be Russian, but its the correct pattern.
