I recently purchased a 105 clone and it arrived with a loose front sight, so I need to sight it in.

What distance should be used to zero a 12.5" 5.45 AK?

Start at 25 yards, and then move back to 50, with the point of impact about 1.5" below point of aim.

That will do you for out to 200 yards.

Keep the rear sight set for 100 meters.

I was just about to post something similar.

When using the zero procedure that Templar describes, how would one go about shooting at say.....300 yards? Would you move the elevation to the "3" setting?

You could certainly do that, or learn how much hold over you need, and not mess with the sights......'cause as surely as you'll adjust those sights out to distance, you'll forget to adjust them back for closer in stuff.
