I just threw out a Guns and stuff flier from that era.. almost made me sic seeing what I should have bought...

I loved FAC! They had all kinds of AK parts back in the mid-90s.

I had several disappointments from the FAC catalog. I was just barely finding a dealer to carry Arsenal rifles, and wouldn't you know it? Of course everything I wanted in the FAC catalog was sold out already.

That was one of the things that got me to start surfing the internet at work.

FAC missed a lot of my orders, guns were nonexistant or never showed up, just cause its in the catalog doesnt mean they had it, they owed a LOT of money to other businesses like RapidFire and others and never paid their debts.
If anybody DID get their rifle, they are lucky at any price from them.

It was the customer service ladies that were just terrible, they made you feel at fault for calling them almost. Talk about a turn off.

Yeah, I bought the bottom rifle, top pic. Still my best AK.

+1. I bought a bunch of Coonan FAL uppers from them. I never had a problem. I did have a problem with one of the uppers, but they took it back no problem. Dan Coonan OTOH... :evil:

The receiver is fine. There's no telling who actually built the rifle but there are no problems with the receivers that I'm aware of...
