Pics are of the handguards off of my Yugo M70AB2 after I tung oiled them. One side shows the Serbian crest (Only Unity Saves the Serbs). The other side says KUPRESAK, which is either a surname, or a town where fighting occured during their conflict.
The top handguard has what I think are kill hash marks. Not sure about the holes in the front three, maybe that signifies "confirmed"?
Here is my rommy uf. Its more worn looking than the pick actually shows also has 4 "kill" marks in the top of the handguard...I couldnt get the pick to show up here so here is a link..
Thanx i never can figure that stuff out..My ak builder REALLY likes it i had to make sure he understould she's not for sale....It was actually bought from a forum member on here so you could say it stayed in the family :goof: ....
Shoots pretty well its a nice addition to the collection its picky on ammo though. I checked out the firing pin and its a little rounded so it doesnt always dent the primer enough to set off the round. I need to file into more of a point or just replace it but havent got around to it yet....
Anyone got any tip about how to make the wood look really used?
I was thinking of maybe sand it down abit and then use motoroil over it and then put it under mud in the garden for a week, would that work?
My wood came in the condition that it is in the pic. The reason I decided to make a battlefielf pickup.
