The top brass are probably secretly waiting for their hands to be untied to try new weapon's designs. Even Putin himself said something to the affect that no matter what they try to design- it always ends up looking like a Kalashnikov.

Hoping he pulls through as his generation, the ones that fought against the evils of Nazi Germany- have a world indebted to them.

I hope he pulls through and lives past 100, that would be an achievement to go with his engineering achievements.

You're talking about someone old enough to remember the Terror, who remembers Stalin, who fought in WWII, lived through most of the existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and survived Soviet medical care.

Mikhail Timofeyovich is one tough SOB to have made it this far. What's that tagline? "Getting old isn't for wimps!"

I hope he pulls through, but if he does not, he's beat the average age for males in Russia which is somewhere around 63 or 64. We should all be so lucky to live to that age. Prayers sent.
