 my all time fav. cal is x39, i detest the 5.56 for anything but target shoot. but i do have 3 rifles and a pistol in that cal. but lately the 5.56 cal. is very expensive and i always really wanted one in x39.
but all i ever heard were that all no matter who made them, were nothing but jamm-omatics. :tribe: :amen:
now earlier this year saw an ad by olympic that they will have new ones in x39 avail this may? so does anyone have one if they are avail? but i have only heard bad things about olympic, and it seems they are they bottem of the barrel, sort of like a wasr! any input is appreciated, i just wonder if it is useless to fool with an ar in x39? :bigwow:  :shotz: :animak: :smileak:

Personally , If I were you and I was really into an AR platform in 7.62 I would wait and see how the reviews of the 7.62 xcr and the thing being made by Masada and Bushmaster

I think that a 7.62 rifle needs a piston system anddthe AR platform has not found a bullet proof piston system yet....

Edited for clarity...
i have been wanting to get a new bush. masada in x39 and they were to be going on sale last month, but now it will be early or middle next yr. and now they say the x.39 will not be avail. in near future. as to the FN scar, well be lucky if those are out by late next yr. Sig is also considering a 556 in x39, considering! robinson arms xcr is one nice gun, but from what i hear it and the comp. leave a lot to be desired.
like all the hype about the 96 model, which they all of a sudden dropped
and it was hyped for yrs. as the new wonder gun! :animak: :shotz:

I have a Model One and mine has always been good. Mags are the biggest problem with 7.62X 39 ARs I have a few of the franken mags and they run 100 % also have some of the 10 rounders and they work good also. I have had few problems with some soft points but not much. It is 100% with FMJs
A buddy of mine has a 11.5 upper for his SBR and his is works good also.
C product is suppose be coming out with a high caps I haven't gotten any yet but I plan on it.

 that is what the said about the EDSEL too!
I agree, I like the M43 round alot. I have a AR15 chambered for this round. It is a DPMS 16" fluted heavy barrel upper, on top of a Stag lower.

C-products is about 4 weeks behind on orders for the new 30 rounder. Initial reports are promising. I can wait. There is a lot of interest in this platform.

There is also a flood of piston kits for the AR15, some will work for the M43 round.

I also own a Saiga custom conversion AK47 in 7.62x39.
