Some of the actors are real marines that were in Iraq, you should watch the making of the series as well. They told about how they hired a lot of ex marines for consulting and ended up just using them as actors too. The "pretty boy" sniper team guy is one of them.

I like the series so far :allright:

I'm watching it and also reading the book. The sniper scene was cool.

Yeah, I was a little leary of watching a series about the modern military made by HBO. However, after accidentally catching the making of the show one night and finding they were using alot of Marines in the show in different capacities, I decided to check it out. So far so good.

The scene where the SGT. Major is dressing down the grunt with the non regulation "stash" and you can see the marine in the background doing the Nazi high step had me rolling... :lol: :lol: :grin: :grin:
