FWIW.... I noticed those same marks on the receiver stubs from my kits.
It appears to be just the "nature of the beast"...

Sorry for the low quality cell phone pics!
Anyway, I've got about sixty rounds through my TGI rifle and notice that the bolt carrier is starting to leave some peen marks on the receiver. These appear to be caused by the stripper clip guide.
Is this a normal wear pattern?
