Any of you conceal carry on a bike? How would you?

SO, I ride my bike to work, and unfortunately, the only way there is a place where some muggings and rapings have been, I'd like to carry a gun however, the kind of job I'm at greatly prohibits weapons by its very nature (kids).... my wife's bike ride to work is through a greater expanse of the "danger zone", her work prohibits weapons, but not by its nature, just policy... Also, there have been more bikers attacked, one shot that I know of, and just some not good things happening. Is there a good way to carry a weapon while bike commuting? I've concidered a tight bag on the handle bars, but if we're thrown from the bike it wouldnt be any good to us attached to it, would a keltek around the neck be a good way, revolver on the ancle, or is there no good way at all? Any experience would be apreciated... OH, she often wears dresses, so I'm thinking a high garter holster for her!
work prohibition aside, and just normal biking can be concidered.

are you talking about regular bikes or motor bikes?

if its that bad i would just drive a car and keep my gun in the car.

i wouldnt have my wife ride with a dress on a bike if women are getting raped.
Yeah, if the area is that bad I would pony up the money and drive.

If that's not an option I'd carry a Kel tec 380. I ride my mountain bike all the time with my kel tec 3AT in a pocket holster with no problems.
i live in the city so i ride my bike just about everywhere as parking is a nightmare. i also have a carry permit. i do not like to leave the house unarmed
a Kel-tec P3AT .380 is the best way to go for a riding a bike, any pocket will work or a leg holster.
I just put the ol' Kel-Tec in my pocket holster and ride off. Never been an issue. I don't like the gun in the bike bag idea, because then you have to take it out whenever you park the bike someplace, which might attract unwanted attention.

correceted your link...

there's no way you could ride a bike with that.

i'd probably recommend one of those fanny pack holsters.
I ride my bicycle everywhere. I carry a .357 snubby revolver IWB @2:00 (aka "appendix carry"). I use a cheap, $10 Uncle Mike's IWB holster. I dont even notice the gun is there, even on the bike. Shorts, tee-shirt, dont matter. I do always wear a belt.
skrilla, good call, she hasnt gone without me or the dog yet, may not, she still drives by herself... the keltek 380 is an apealing idea, HOWEVER Thirdeye, I'm interested to know more... we have a 3" SP101, that makes a lot of sense, and I've seen about the thunderwear and the movies that guy did for promotions, but I dont know... on a bike.... I could try it with the uncle mikes IWB that I have... but I'd like to hear more about it from Thirdeye and Senorlink.
Now Doubletap, I have a bike bag on the handle bars and since I carry around my todo list, lunch, ipod and tool kit, I take that with my everywhere when I get off, and keep it with me through the day, so it wouldnt be mroe attention than it already is... For the wife, she may need those cool old honda mopeds.... I love those, then just keep to the streets and out of the parks/river.
HOWEVER, I may not carry at work due to my field, but there are two gun shops right next door, so I may see if they'd hold my gun through the days... hopefully that's not too much to ask (is it?), I buy guns from them time to time...
I'll have to give the old two o' clock position a try

 That's kind of like what I was thinking. You would probably have better accuracy with this though while doing wheelies:

Thanks for fixing the link Skyugo but have you ever tried this system.I carry a keltec pf-9 and a extra magazine not only is it comfortable but I can only be wearing shorts and you cannot detect that Im carrying. All of my IWB holsters have had a break since I got this system.Unless your wearing those bikers shorts I think it would be better than IWB.
