I've read that is was used in the closing days of WWII for combat trials but I have never actually seen proof of it. Also, the oldest dated ones are 1949 I think. I can't imagint the Soviets taking 4 years to tool up for mass production. Anyone seen pictures of it in use in Berlin or elsewhere?

maybe the pic would be in the war archive but i havent seen it on the net.

production of the SKS45 was put on hold after the war till 1949 cos reconstruction of the country took priority , besides they had tons of guns they didnt know what to do it .
