As I always say " Morons all morons!" This whole thing is just pissing me off. Now the left sees why to secure the borders? Figures. Take your f%^&ing politics and stuff them up your political ass! The media, stirring the pot and causing the ignorant to panic. Wash your hands and keep them away from your face! The media has a responsibility with the power they wield yet there seems to no acknowledgement of how persuasive and damaging their OPINIONS are. I long for the days of just telling the facts.
What really gets me is the chinese, why do so many of these types of things come out of that pseudo first world nation. All this shows is how far back their society is and the control the government has, love that communism/ socialism good stuff. Are you putting the pieces together AOC you dumb bitch. The CCP has banned Winnie the Pooh in china due to the comparison to the leader, really? If you want to be a world leader how about bringing the whole nation into the 21st century not just the politically associated. How about bringing health codes up to western standards instead of wasting huge money on construction projects that lay idle and rotting/ falling apart only a few years down the road for example. Why are people still eating bush meat bought from these filthy open air markets, sounds more third world than first world, china.
Is this COVID-19 real yes, exaggerated yes, currently.
On a different note those that play the market and have the extra funds to invest should be watching for money making opportunities, this crisis will end and things will go back to normal might as well capitalize just like back in 2008.

Invest in TP?
black market TP. I wonder if people will start stealing ass paper from public restrooms, re-rolling them (or not, 'easier to store without the roll!") and selling them.

Healthcare companies, P&G, Johnson and Johnson would be good picks for stocks. They're already on an upswing* (* I'm so far from a stock market expert it's not funny. Super don't listen to me. disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer!!)

Think further down the road. Already too late to make money on TP in stocks. Think solid companies that are on bargain currently. I like Boeing for example. The 737max dabacle has really hurt the stock due to public opinion and now with the Dow down it's off by more than half. Is Boeing going anywhere no just taking a beating. Think how far reaching Boeing's tentacles go and can they be easily replaced, no. This is not a short term play as usual with stocks it's a long game. This is only for expendable resources mind you but I have been waiting for something to hit the market and correct to take advantage of the upside when that finally happens. At my age 52, I prefer the market correct now as opposed to a few years down the road closer to retirement. This correction should recover in time to finally tap out of the market. All speculation obviously but I have been researching to buy the bargains presented.

Good point. I might have to start really digging into stocks that pay dividends that are on super sale, but I don't think we've seen the bottom yet.

Yup bought Clorox back in late dec on word of this virus spreading. Kept climbing until the past couple weeks and took a hit like everything else but on the rise again. I won't hold it long term, it will adjust back to normal as they get a handle on this virus. Right now I'm looking at things that are solid but just down due to the whole turn down. I am in Biotech and have feelers to associates at different Biotechs for info on efforts they are making to find a vaccine. Many former associates at Moderna, Amgen, Gilead, Abbot........all have insight into who's doing what and the progress they are making. The treatment for covid-19 won't be available for a while due to the process of development even though it will probably be accelerated so there is time to take advantage in the stock market. Mind you I wouldn't do any of this if I had not planned and held liquid funds aside to make moves based on this debacle. I spread my risk across many sectors but love the defense sector due to the global turmoil. I got out of construction after the 2008 crash and went into biotech just for the reason that healthcare is the one thing people will always spend their money on at a certain point in their lives and I thought how can I capitalize on that fact. Become a doctor? no, too late for that. Nursing? no they work the hardest and do the worst of it, no thanks. Ahhhh Biotech, yes and I'm close to one of the better regions for the industry, Boston. I bought heavily after the 2008 crash settled and started to correct and the bargains I scooped up truely added up. I'm looking to grab some of that again though circumstances are different and that must be kept in mind. This crash to me is not economically driven YET but soon could. This is all about the fear in the herd of sheep in the market not economy. The Biden Super Tuesday win two weeks ago gave a one day substantial bump to the dow and then yesterdays bump on news of government aide all points to momentary fear. I'm selectively buying now but researching more, looking for a solid up tic. I don't need to catch the bottom. I would rather wait for trends of recovery to start and good news for an indication of public mood before going all in but I want my targets picked before.

can you invest in an enter button? That would make it easier to read that post.. holy shiitake mushrooms. :p

I don't have enough money to make a meaningful impact on my finances. Now that the market has shit the bed again, I can't touch my orphaned 401k for another frigging year at least due to this bear shit. If I would have been able to, I would have gotten out months ago and had that money reinvested in real estate.

Think I could make a fortune on my small 1 ply MRE toilet paper? I have a bunch in a box somewhere... tiny packets! Easy to slip past security when they start banning TP.

That stuff is actually pretty damn good at it's job. I forget where the hell I learned it ,but there's the 1 square wipe technique and it makes a little go a long way.

When you smuggle toilet paper in your prison pocket but you forget to wrap it and it absorbs all the moisture.

oh no everyone else is doomed, only the person with a throne of throne paper will survive to repopulate the country.

Maybe there will be a rise of the Poo Plus Clan and they can try to steal the phrase White Power. 3 ply is pretty strong.

If anyone is trying to wipe with one square at a time, that's another excellent reason to not shake hands with them.

If they're a savage animal that doesn't wash their hands after doing their business, sure. Mil-spec TP is about the only kind one could get away with the single square wipe and have it be even remotely effective. Even then, aren't baby wipes and other such products a thing too?
