Found a good solution for kit storage. Iris Craft Storage Boxes 12x12”.

Costco is selling a multicolored 5 pack for I wanna say $20.00.

For those not wishing to support Costco and their noxious anti-gun policies -

(Yes I got mine at Costco – hypocrisy is a mother.)

Organize that pile of cardboard boxes, envelopes, and bubble wrap into this:

Each box holds a complete kit, with barrel. And has a bit more room for appropriate bayonets, extra buttstocks, cleaning kits, etc.

Now stow up your new neatness in the closet – till one can find/afford receivers.

I'm trying to understand how you can fit a 16" barrel in a 12"x12" box?

That would be 16.97" diagonal, excluding any height variable.

Unfortunately most kits now you don't have to worry about barrels fitting :(

Hmmm. Interesting. Does seem to beat the hell out of all that cardboard taking up space.

I prefer boxes for home builds. As you start the build you have room to remove and return a barreled action to the box for storage/parts retention during the build as sometimes it takes several in/out cycles to complete the build.

Yeah, you're right. Good point. I forgot about that.

Coffins for fine future weapons. Build them and free them from their entrapment.

Just a heads up that Michael's had these on sale today for $3 each. You could buy whatever colors you want also as they were individually sold. No Easter egg colors.
