I ran across a bayonet that has an odd hanger. Instead of the leather belt loop on top, it has a D-ring on top and bottom. If I reember right, it has a snap hook, or whatever you want to call it, on both top and bottom. I know i've seen these before but can't place who issued them, for what bayonet and why. I can't post a pic, but i'm sure someone will pipe in and know exactly what i'm talking about.

The hungarian ones I've seen are the only ones I know of to have a snap hook at the top and bottom, but no D ring though. Just what looks to be a galvanized piece of metal riveted to the leather retaining strap along with the post that the leather slips over.

The Hungarian one may be the other half of what's on the bayonet I saw. I want to say the Soviets used a different hanger on some earlier AKM bayonets. Wish I had my SOF bayonet article in front of me. It was documented somewhere...
