Can someone give me "real world" comparisons between the .223 and 7.62x39?

I'm considering another AK, but in .223. I'm hoping for a bit more accuracy and range. On a similar note, can the .223 reliably drop a deer as can the 7.62x39.

I have a bushmaster 223, bulgy 223, Poly & Norinco 223 these are my most accurate ak's except for the bushmater which is the best for accuracy cannot use Russian ammo in it. I haven't hunted with these, but the 7.62 is more powerful than the 223 but distance and accuarcy play a factor in it.

This is one of those Ford versus Chevy arguements or comparisons.

There are obviously pros and cons to both, but...

Both make dead. That is all.

In most states you can't legally shoot a deer with a .22 caliber rifle. Thus, the .223 would NOT be a good choice for deer. Also, since most .223 rounds fragment, it would not make tastey venison.

The 5.56 is a modern round, which is more capable of doing what weapons of war do.

I would recommend some research if you want to find facts, not opinions. The Ammo Oracle is a good place to start.
