Just picked this up after seeing Vlados thread. One of the things I like about this batch is that typically they all came from the same gun. At least we feel fairly confident with that on the Russian sets. It’s a nice kit probably original finish. The upper handguard is cracked and the gas tube is a little dinged but that’s all part of the patina.
The disconnector is thin and almost seems stamped. Also the lower handguard seems like a dong one that was sanded down is this a field modification or a Sadu thing?

Of the Md90s that have come in, a lot of them had the lower handguards chopped and sanded like that. I don't remember if there was one more than the other (Sadu or Cugir) but pretty sure it's both.

Nice to see the selector markings on the stub. I believe 1994 was the last year of the slightly tilted S but I've read so many forums and looked at so many Romanian selector markings just trying to get my kits right that it's all become a fever dream

And then I stick the kit back in a drawer.

I just got an all matching 1994 SADU kit. However it has a dong with it. Is this normal? I thought SADU only made palm swells. I’ll have to try to find the correct handguard if they never used dongs

Sadu had wood foregrips on rifles. There are also a lot of kits that came in with the grip chopped off, sanded, and refinished.
