Another rifle thanks to ptica. This one is a fixed black stock MMG, that was created from an actual rifle. There has been some speculation if this one ever did exist, plum vs black.

So Jerry, would you say then that this now answers the question? That it's not a "one off" and black was in regular production after plum but before the "100 series all folders" began??

I believe so. I was also communicating with Tantal and indicated he a picture of a black stocked 91 or 92 dated one also. One more slot to fill !

I have pics of a 92 one from the Izhmash museum.

That being said, fixed stock AK74s, Ak103s and Ak101s are all put out by Izhmash today. It just doesnt seem to be a cataloged item.

When the Russians switched to the true black polymer or the matt plum did they possibly changes there format. I need to look at a couple that I have.
