Hello gentlemen,

Wanted to share a not too special (special to me) 1988 Izzy build.

-Started with an all matching and all correct unfired 1988 Izzy kit
-Russian Y stamped barrel(saiga pull from new rifle) forgot to get pics! Will update this thread w pics
-Childers receiver
-Collector source replica rail
- Izzy triangle stock w 4.5 trunnion
-ALG trigger(I plan to shoot this one quite a bit)
-Paint on barrel and receiver only
-Built nicely by two rivers arms

Looks pretty special to me! Lol. So it originally came with a fixed stock and not a folder? I totally missed out in what was going on with the kit scene over the years. I trust that you have a nice stockpile of 5.45 ammo..

Awesome, ours were probably built right along side each other. Mine arrived last Friday, but had a couple delays with UPS. Same basic build but I went cheap with the barrel(US made chrome lined) and Recreator rec. Also, our sernos are exactly 1947 rifles apart, sweeeet. No glamour shots yet, need to locate a sling.

Beautiful! And how cool is the serno thing? Would have been even better if they were 1974 apart! Congrats on a beauty!

Turned out excellent, why did I sell mine back in the day :(
Not as many people could build them correctly. A lot of people did.

So many of the kits were split up/scalped for Saiga conversions.

Beautiful guns guys. I have one here with a Recreator receiver and I’m impressed.
