  1. Re: M95a fixed stock build....3 years in the making

Very nice. Probably the best 556 AK that can be found.

    Re: Tula .223

I bought a box of this stuff from Walmart, albeit 55 grain full metal jacket bullets rather than 62 grain hollow points. It shot ok, granted it was only 20 rounds. It is dirty stuff that takes awhile...

    Re: Aim Polish 7.62x54

Oh great. I just bought a tin of the stuff on stripper clips. Bolt stick, enh?

I've been shooting the Czech silvertip which comes in those nice blue, 20 cartridge, boxes for some time now without...

    Re: TULA ammo at walmart

Bought some in 223 and shot it in my Yugo M95A. It worked just fine and seemed to shoot to the same relative point of impact, although the empties ejected to a different location.

    VZ58 strippers

Ran a search, found many posts, but wondered whether the VZ58 stripper clip guide on the bolt will accept and utilize SKS clips?

    Thanks.

Re: opinion needed on 7.62x51 silverbear

I dunno guy. I guess that stuff is OK.

By the time I get to the 30 calibers I find that I can economically handload my rounds, and obtain excellent performance, as well as variety for different...

    Re: Reloading 7.62 x 39

I've been reloading the Hornady 123 soft points for awhile now with 1680 powder in WW brass. It is plenty accurate, and has a remarkable terminal effect on water filled 1 gallon milk jugs.

    YMMV

    Re: Police queston

I will try to keep the rant short.

Cops ARE civilians. They think themselves apart from the people, they think themselves to be the law.

When the law no longer belongs to the people, but only...
  9. Re: "Barbies" for men. Or, dressing up your rifle.

Tres chic! Now all you need is a tactical "manbag" and you are good to go!. Don't forget the tactical face paint, and a little rouge...

    Re: Czech 7.62x54R

My well cleaned Mosin Nagant will have just a bit of stickiness, but the other which I have never been able to satisfactorily clean the chamber of, sticks badly with it.

    Great stuff tho! Shoots...

Sticky: Re: FreeRangeYODA, link to posts.

Oh shucks. I knew he was sick from back in the day when I was a more active contributor, and PMs we exchanged. I highly regret that he passed. Was a true gentleman and I miss him. Darn.

Re: How do you feel about this pic.

The photo speaks for itself I suppose, but a translation of the script on the headband might shed a little more light on it.

What is interesting to me is the responses in this forum. To say that...

Re: A CZ snob goes Glock - Part 3

I think you can see that you made the right choice. For reliability, ergonomics, and accuracy the Glock is hard to beat.

I have a friend who says, "You show your 1911s to your friends, you show...

    Re: Mini 14 Ranch rifle

From what I've heard the newer 580 or 581 series are supposed to be pretty good.

Mine works well with the Bulgarian polymer mags, the original Yugo mags, and the Weigers. I prefer the Weigers in my rifle because they are shorter overall for the same capacity, are steel, and they...
  16. Lee Universal Decapper not so good for 223

The Universal Decapper is a nice die to be sure, but the diameter of the decapping pin is such that you have to carefully feed your 223's over it. The RCBS is a better setup if you can find it.

SeaZast, I guess I live in a slower area of the suburbs in a more placid town, as the SHTF scenario seems pretty remote to me. Unless one of these mommys out on the street pushing a baby coach has...

Man. Not to brag, but none of these is as nice as the one I have. These are all painted or duracoated or the like, not hot blued as is mine, or as were the rifles originally.

This is the rifle that you were so proud of and compared it to a SLR-106 at every occasion?
