There were some pics of Uzbek troops toting a couple....I *think* Rob Stottman posted them, but I can't be sure.
I had a "G"kit laying around so I guess I will have to turn it into something since Harlan is making side folder recs.
You're going to have to dick around with the ejector...those receivers are for the 5.45mm, not 7.62mm......Quote:

The best known one is the AKMS carbine from the Tokoi book; There is a picture of that one, and another one in my photo section in the reference guide.
Here is a link Lumpy sent me,http://editorial.gettyimages.com/sou...52959658&cdi=0Quote:

Hey Johno, will ya give us some pics and a list of ingredients in case we want to whip one up too? There seems to be a fair amount of interest and so far it seems to start with a G-kit but after that nobodys been very clear yet.
No problem,Mine started out as a Romy G Kit on a Global receiver,Troy built the rifle using a Russian rolled edge sidefolder, the cryllic engraving and G2 FCG.I'll install a set of Russian Laminated AKM handguards and Shiny maroon Russian pistol grip with a tan Russian sling.I have'nt yet decided whether to use a US piston and slant brake or keep the originals and use a US mag floorplate and follower.-pics will be tomorrow
There really is no difference than the G kit with Russian wood, russian triangle side folder, and bakelite mag.Quote:
