Surplus bags, etc., IDs needed

I recently found a cool store here in New Orleans with surplus gear. It is actually a costume shop, but the owner orders alot of surplus goods. I took some pictures (with his permission) to see if I could find out what they are. Thats where this forum comes in.

Can any of you experts tell me what this stuff is? I found some interesting IDF (IOF) items and I know some other items were definitely Russian.

Pic 1: Some kind of chest rig. For SKS? The hardware was green plastic.

I believe that no. 4 is the bag for the U.S. M17 series protective mask.

7 is Czech camo pattern known as vz.95

Isn't the first one a pouch fot the type68 rifle?

1. Chinese, not sure what weapon system it's for.

2.US pro-mask bag. The hole in the bottom of the bag is for a tub that you could connect to a NBC system in a vehicle. This style was issued to crew men. Tankers, Bradley's, etc.

3. East German back pack

4. M17 gas mask bag. US military

5. Swiss gas mask bag

6. Polish Flare pouch, I think

7.Czech camo

8. French made

9. Not sure where its from but I'll take it. :wink:

11. "Swiss bread bag" The bag would connect to the top of their ruck sacks

12. Hungarian gas mask bag

13 and 14 are also French made.

Deleur, what is a type 68?

Infantry, you rule. #9 has markings on it. Look closely. I'm gonna bring a mag down there and see if it fits. I've gotta go back and buy that blumentarn stuff anyway.

I really do not think #9 is for mags at all. There are no belt loops on the back side. No uniform dividers on the inside. I think it's a NBC bag of some type. Commie made of course.

Wow. I was there.

The Chinese Type 68 was a select fire rifle based on the Type 56 (SKS) that took 15 round detachable mags. It was a refined version of the earlier Type 63. My dad got to use one during his compulsory training for university students back in China.

The North Koreans called their AKM the Type 68.

Norinco is correct. The Albanians also use(d) this weapon.
I've seen some pics with Albians wearing this type of pouch

I use #4 for a couple of uses.

1. I take one to gunshows to use as a man purse, it is awesome.

Works great! I get them for about $5/ea

Awesome info. Next time I am there, I will pick these up for ya'll. They run about $8-15 dollars I think.
