    Khyber Pass rifles - Pictures

So I've been through the 4 page Khyber Pass thread on these way too many times, and think I'm going to have to have one...Damn it.

You guys that have done them please post your pics here in this thread so I can do some more "research" and figure out just which way I'm going on this project.

I can either go with a kit on a DCI, or convert a Maadi. I'm leaning to the Maadi but would like to hear from those that have done it...and of course get all the pics in one place.

    Thanks!

Leave the Maadi alone and build one up with an NDS and a Rommy G kit, or a polish kit if you can find one. I have the parts to do one up boxed up (including the receiver) its low on the list of priorities right now though. I'm using a mint polish underfolding kit as a donor. McM

Mine is done.......Romy G (unG'ed) kit on DCI rec, Russian folder, Russian handguard, Russian Tula soldier carved mag, Angela engraved rec.

amazing how close the Romy arsenal marks are to the Russian. May change the handguard color to Russian red, but they ARE Russian. Can from K-Var.

I might switch out my standard K-var black grip with a glossy K-var plumb one. Haven't decided yet.

Are you guys drilling holes in your front trunnion before you put the barrel in? The pin for the catch is in the trunnion right?

How do you know where to drill the hole?

Good question, I tried to forget!!!
The front end is a BITCH! to say the least. I have a receiver stub off a Bulgy side folder I used as a template...I think, I really don't remember how I did it.
I remember I installed the trunnion(not riveted) and drilled thru the bottom of the rec into the trunnion, but I don't remember how I located the hole.
