Interesting info on the weapons used in "The Beast" Beast of War, The - Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games

I've been thinking of making a "Beast" clone with one of my Israeli LB kits,

I watched The Beast last night. Pretty cool 80's flick. For some reason this scene made me laugh hysterically LOL

Film makers apparently use this mod a lot because it allows a "starburst" muzzle flash that the A2 prohibits since the fireball can't exit out the bottom of the FH.

Looks like all you would need would be an Israeli rifle with a Vietnam-era USGI nylon M14/M16 "seat belt" sling and some of those tassel thingys. They switched to this slick and thin nylon material from the cotton webbing in Vietnam allegedly due to the cotton rotting in the jungle humidity of SE Asia. They eventually switched again later to a thicker synthetic weave that they still currently use. Liberty Tree has the "Seat Belt" slings for $25 but you might find a better price if you look hard enough.

Looks like one of those Brownings we gave the Israelis that they re-chambered for .308

I have been thinking about getting one of those parts kits from Sarco. You can get new Israeli surplus .308 barrels for them. Pretty expensive build if you go all out with the tripod and other accessories you need to mount one.

Seems like they could've done a better job making those look more like DShK's, or even leasing a couple in Israel. I'm sure they've got quite a few captured examples from Syria and Egypt.

    RPG kaboom Tank!!

Always liked both of those movies, what I get for being an ‘80s kid....I also used to have “realistic” GI Joe action figure combat in the back yard with lady fingers for artillery and M80s for bombs

Too bad most of them got destroyed, I hear they are worth money now

    "Yeah I'll kaboom tank"

I've always wondered if you could fix a broken RPG trigger with an Enfield rear sight spring? I have a few Enfields but no RPG....yet.

    Let me test that theory.

Give me a moment as I break it down.

I sold 9 of them still in the packaging on eBay in 2011 for $2,400

They were sold through the Sears Christmas "Wish Book" so they were kinda uncommon, though.

The hammer spring will work from the Enfield but you have to cut it a tiny bit and also it's not a perfect fit but it gives it resistance only a tiny and it made it a hairy trigger.

Using the safety and then pushing the button to get it out of safe and boom it goes off.

Soooooooo. Hmmmmm it will work but I don't know if it would give it enough UMFFFFFFFFF for the hammer to bust the primer on the rocket.

Enemy At The Gates is a good one for WWII Russian guns.
