    Thoughts on Russian Military Makarov

Not AK related, but I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this Russian military Marakov. What would be a reasonable value for one like this? Thanks !

I would probably say 600-1100 in todays market. You can get the bulgarian clones for $350-ish.

I own a Russian one. Great shooter. Feels "just right" in my hands. Looks badass.

i have picked up russian IZ-70 for $250 a while ago. Not gonna say i like shooting that thing. hurts web of my palm with pretty much any 9x18 factory loads. prefer locked breach pistols. BTW i also have cz-82 that's a little better but just by nature of slightly more ergonomic grip, but same problem - too sharp of a recoil to enjoy shooting it for me

Are you only looking for opinions on russian maks? Because my bulgy mak is probably my fav pistol I own. Accurate, reliable, easy to conceal. It was my ccw for a looooong time.

If you don't have a mak, get one! Russian or anything else. I think AIM has Bulgarian ones in stock right now around $300. It's the AK of pistols.

Hell, my mom only owns two pistols and one is a makarov!

Seen them on GB starting bids of $600, search for completed auctions to find your answer.

That pistol is a 1974 dated one. Earlier pistols in nice condition will bring more money than the 1980s examples having a bit more brushed finish. Having a matching numbered magazine also increases the price. Find one without any import markings and the value goes up even further...
